ASHA Special Interest Group 8, formerly Public Health Issues Related to Hearing and Balance, has a new name: Audiology and Public Health. The new name encompasses public health issues in all areas of audiology practice, such as tinnitus, that may not be self-evident in the terms “hearing and balance.” (Source: The ASHA Leader Online)
